After using SMART-TILL® in his fields, Iowa farmer Mark Rathjen says, "I am a believer in vertical tillage."

When he put the SMART-TILL® to work in somewhat muddy conditions, there was no plugging or dragging. Plus, the ground dried quickly after he used SMART-TILL® in a field. "I could sometimes plant one hour after working the ground," he says.

"At emergence time is when I saw the first indications of the implement making a difference," Mark says.

"I can only attribute the vertical tillage and the improved air and water movement through the soil as the reason for corn that looks healthy and green with so much rain during this planting season."
