Leonard O’Donohue of Ontario, Canada, bought a SMART-TILL® so that he could get rid of his mole board plow and make fewer passes through the field.

And it’s working so far. "With the SMART-TILL®, I am able to reduce the number of passes in the field," he says. "I make one pass in the fall and let the stalks sit over the winter. I make one pass in the spring to prepare a seed bed, and then I plant."

"With the SMART-TILL®, I have more air and water movement in the soil, which should help me maintain a consistent or possibly a better yield in my corn, soybeans, and wheat crops," he adds.

Leonard also notes that the SMART-TILL® lets him maintain or increase his organic matter.

"I like what I see in the fields I used the SMART-TILL® in," he says.
